I used to be very good about setting intentions and goals on the first of the month and then seeing how many of them I accomplished.
But then, I got too ambitious and eventually was getting to the point where I would only achieve half of the goals I set for myself.
Life is funny that way. We set the best intentions and it has a way of saying “hold my beer.”
But if anything, the past few months have taught me that goals and challenges, intentions and plans can be made, even if life throws curveballs or gives more lemons that one can make lemonade from.
Goals don’t have to be set in stone. They can be adapted. They can be changed. They can be restarted any number of times. They can be dumped if they aren’t working out.
Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t achieve everything you set out to accomplish. Look around and see the stuff that HAS been carried through. See the challenges you have faced and beaten. Adapt, persist and overcome all that can be adapted, persisted, and overcome.
And find the magic in the story that you are writing.
Stay magical, friends.

I read this while sitting contemplating a task that I’ve been putting off for months – and still today I’m not in the mood for it. Now I feel better about putting it off yet again. Thanks for the post! 🙂
