Magical readers,

I am thrilled to tell you that I am releasing another story in my Portals Series!

Unlike the novels or novellas in the portal fantasy adventure series, this truly is a short story at just under 8,000 words and four chapters. Since it wouldn’t be feasible to put this in print, I will be releasing it here for free on this very blog.

Keeper of Memories

Unlike her siblings, Lady Portia of the Realm of Original Magic inherited no magic from her powerful father, The Portal Seeker. She accepts her fate that she is merely mundane and common in a family where everything that is magical is normal even as she learns what she can about the stories that populate her world. When the chance to visit the Portal of Memory comes forth, Poe takes it on, using her training as a Keeper of Stories to help collect the stories that live there. But when an accident occurs, she must use her skills as both a story-teller and her own tenacity to save both the stories and her father, discovering that the real keeper of memories is that who can keep any story alive.

The four chapters and the dates they will be live:

• Memory (released 6 January 2026)
• Loss (released 8 January 2026)
• Home (released 10 January 2026)

Of course, if you don’t want to wait, there are eighteen other works in the series that you can start digging into. I have heard they are fun reads full of adventure, emotion and fantasy.
