Halloween Town: Newcomers again

This is a story about my Halloween Town. I used to put a description of the origins of my villages on every post about my villages, but since I have a whole created page about the Village Stories I have written, check it out there if you have no idea what my Halloween Town is. (Here’s a hint, you need to click the hyperlink in the previous sentence to see it.)

Since we moved to a new abode with MORE SPACE to put my Halloween Town in 2024, I was able to expand the Halloween Town. Each year it’s a bit different. This is the 2025 version.

Frank and Stella, the rehabilitated zombies that took up residence in the Haunted Abbey, had decided that they had too much space in their abbey for just themselves. As they repaired each room, it became obvious that they were creating a space that they wanted to share with the world. Thus, they decided to rent out rooms as a Bed and Breakfast.

They became quite successful. Apparently, there are many “normies” around the world who didn’t mind spending the night in a haunted abbey and in fact looked forward to it. They became so successful at it that they had to hire some help.

Geoffrey was another rehabilitated zombie who, in his former life, had served the best of the best as a butler and valet. He was one of a few applicants for the position, and Frank and Stella knew that he was the best candidate for the job, He was professional with the guests. He was great at anticipating every need. And he was awesome at his job.

There was just one problem. He owned a zombified mouse of unusual size name Squeaks. And Squeaks wasn’t as trained as dear old Rocky the dog was to be courteous around guests. He was especially unruly any time he spotted any sort of cheese. Geoffrey was forever cleaning up the chaos that Squeaks created, but he doted on the pet as well. The guests loved him too. And Frank and Stella didn’t have the heart or the brains to tell their employee to get rid of the animal. And so…. the Haunted Abbey B&B became even more famous for the unusual creature.

Another newcomer to Halloween Town was Ralph the Barker.

Ralph was literally a barker…. er, werewolf. He had come to Halloween Town because he wanted a place to be accepted, but because he was the first werewolf in the town, they were a bit wary of him.

He found a job at the Pumpkin Bowl at the Back Valley, barking every night to bring people in for events. He roomed with Roscoe the Biker in the Black Cat trailer since it was the only place he could find lodgings, since Stella and frank’s abbey was beyond his meager means. Roscoe knew what it was like to not belong. And while his new roommate was a bit unusual, especially for those few days every month when the moon was full, he found Ralph to be a tidy and well kept man who spoke very little.

But others wondered what secrets the werewolf kept…. and why he chose to come to Halloween Town in the first place…..

Until the next time…. stay magical, friends!

Here’s a video of this year’s town.
