I often talk about how my favorite word is the word HOPE.
There are multiple posts here on this blog about that discuss hope…. From Hope to discussing that Hope has two daughters, to the fact that Generations upon hopeful generations use traditions, to even discovering What sound does hope make when it dies.
But the world still feels heavy today. The news brings stories of assassinations of legislators and drums of war. There’s strife and partisanship. It feels like there is even more marginalization of those already pushed to the fringes of society.
But there is an undercurrent of hope still there. It’s in the connections we make with those around us. It’s in the way we appreciate the magic in the mundane. It’s in the writing of our own stories and the telling of those stories that matter to us.
Hope is there, ever flowing, ever waiting, ever present even when we don’t think we can use it anymore. We just need to find it. We need to appreciate it.
If you think there is too much darkness in the world, be the one to bring the candle. Be light. Keep hoping for a better world.
Hope does not disappoint.
Write your own story.
Stay magical, friends.
